Gerber® Faucets & Sinks Wow Prospective Kanaka Springs Homebuyers

Nestled in the Canadian countryside, the Kanaka Springsdevelopment in Maple Ridge, BC is a 70-acre masterplanned community that, when completed, will include single-family residences, townhomes, and condominiums, as well as mixed-use commercial space. With more than 20 acres surrounding the community dedicated to environmental space, homeowners can visit nearby Kanaka Creek Park, Cliffs Falls, and more to get in touchwith nature. Phase I, The Crest, was recently completedand consists of 83 single-family homes.

"In keeping with the rural surroundings, homes were designed with a modern farmhouse architectural style that is meant to blend in with the natural environment," claims Epic Home's Senior Vice President Products & Sales, Ryan Connolly. He adds that the interiors of the home were also designed to reflect the modern farmhouse theme.

"Our modern farmhouse style is transitional—not too rustic, not too modern," Connolly claims. "When we were introduced to the Gerber lines by Bartle & Gibson [Maple Ridge, BC], we were impressed by the high quality of the products, plus the aura of the faucets substantially added to that modern farmhouse look."

"I knew Gerber products would be a great match for this project due to their outstanding quality and performance," says Connolly. "Plus, they offer on-trend styles and finishes that are a big hit with homeowners."

For the kitchen, Epic Homes designers chose the Kinzie® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet for its contemporary design that incorporates vintage industrial details. Not only did Kinzie add elegance to the décor, but it also blended beautifully with the single-basin sink, asserts Connolly. Epic offered the faucets in Chrome, Satin Black, and Brushed Bronze finishes. Most buyers opted for Brushed Bronze.

"Not only does [Brushed Bronze] blend with our color schemes, this finish offers high-end style that completes that look," Connolly says. Another element that enhances this elevated design are Gerber's wall mount pot fillers. Offered as an optional feature, the Parma® Wall Mount Pot Filler adds convenience to daily kitchen tasks. The articulating faucet extends up to 22" from the wall, includes two independent spout controls, and folds neatly out of the way when not in use.

In the bathrooms, Parma Single Handle Bathroom Faucets, each with its own unique design details, are used as showpieces that balance beautifully with the Wicker Park drop-in sinks. Because mixed metals are becoming a popular trend, designers outfitted their show homes with chrome fixtures complemented by Parma bath accessories in Satin Black. "Kanaka Springs visitors like the ambiance of our models," comments Connolly. "Plus, they like the look of the faucets which has allowed [these homes] to stand out."

Connolly says that he's also received positive feedback from the installers. In addition to having a readily available supply, he adds that installers claim that Gerber products offered easy installation and they haven't had callbacks regarding function issues.

Bartle & Gibson knew they could count on Gerber to provide Kanaka Springs with stylish products that also added value to the homes. "From supply to lasting reliability, [Gerber] checks all the boxes," Connolly claims. "Their products instill confidence with both professionals and buyers.

Connolly says Epic Homes is looking at Gerber products for future phases. "Our homeowners want quality, but they also expect value," he asserts. "Gerber helps us turn over a perfect home to our buyers."
